What is the project all about?
Perhaps you wonder what is the project all about. Well, the Heather Nova CD Project is a nonprofit project done by Heather’s fans just to handle it over to Heather as a gift to show her how much we appreciate the music she makes. We will, of course, give the members from the mailing list the opportunity to receive their free copy from the CD as well (people who cooperate with the project will have a copy on their own of course).

Born in France, I toured and recorded as a guitar player with many national artists for the past 8 years. Most of all, I made two albums of my own compositions with my band Sojo Glider. The first one, called "Tales from the Urban Constellation" was released in 2003 on a small US label, Blackwelder Records. The new upcoming album (being mixed just now) was recorded in England and produced by Dare Mason (Placebo, The Church...). Website : www.sojoglider.com

Hearing the words come from a complete stranger hits you in the heart like the both of us are on the same page. Makes me think that we went through similar mind ultering situations that are created into genious songs. The same shit happens to all of us no matter how far we are from one another in this huge world. No matter how kind I, or anyone can be, there's always tramatic things that happen to us that create songs that stick with you for life. I don't have to hear Heathers life story to understand her because I feel it in her lyrics. I know where she's coming from, and I can relate...Love will hurt you in the depest way where you find yourself a poet at times. Turning it in for credit is the reward.

Massimo and Beata have now covered a song that you can find on Heather’s Siren album.

The funny thing is that Beata and Massimo have never met each other. I recorded Massimo’s guitar play last year and recorded Beata a few months after Massimo’s appearance at my place in Amsterdam. I recorded Massimo’s version of What a feeling on the same time as his ‘dark’ version of Ruby Red that you can hear on the cd-project site.

Now, finally, I arranged Beata’s vocals with Massimo’s guitar play so that everybody can hear this version of What a feeling.
